  • How does digital art work?
When you purchase digital art from me, you will receive a email from Black Kat Printables. Just click on the Download button. My wall art pieces are PNG files, and the coloring pages are PDFs. Wall art files contain the following sizes; 4x6, 5x7, 8x10, 11x14, and 16x20. All coloring pages are 8.5 x 11. After you purchase a piece, reach out to me if you need a different size, and I’ll send it to you at no additional charge.
  • How do I print the work?
You can either print the work on your home printer (for the smaller sizes) or get them printed through a commercial printing service. Here are a few options; Shutterfly, MPIX, Walgreens, CVS, and Staples. For the best color quality, use glossy photo paper. If you are printing at home, make sure to set your printer to glossy photo paper before you print. If your print looks washed out and streaky, it’s probably because you forgot to set it to glossy photo paper.
  • Will you create customs images?
I will work with you to create custom images that you can use in your artwork, including custom fabrics, greeting cards, tee shirt designs, etc. I will create custom coloring pages that are perfect for teachers, childcare workers, etc. I can also help you create a logo for your business. Reach out to me if you’re interested in working with me to create a custom image.
  • What is digital art?
Digital art is created and presented using digital technology. I make all of my digital artwork on a MAC in Pages, Apple’s word processing program. All of my images are original creations. I’ve done several figure drawings, and I’m turning some of those drawings into digital art. I’m also using some photos I’ve taken around the Southwest to create some of my images.
  • Explain how to use your templates.
Some of my pieces are created using templates for greeting cards, labels, etc. My greeting card templates are two per one 8.5 x 11 sheet and should be printed on card stock. Some cards have a message printed inside, and each image will also have a blank card so you can add your own message. The cards fit inside 4 3/8 x 5 3/4 envelopes. I create all labels using Avery templates, and I include the template number with each image.
  • Why should I purchase digital art?
Digital art makes changing the look of any space easy and affordable. It’s much less expensive to print and frame a piece of artwork yourself. Plus, you can pick the size that works best for your space; 4x6 and 5x7 work best for a side table or small office, and the larger sizes can fill up a bigger wall. Mix and match images to make a wall collage. Not to mention, you can pick the frame. You’re not stuck with an ugly frame that comes in whatever size print is on the shelf!
